La Dea Bendata

$ 160

A fruity floral spicy fragrance inspired by Neapolitan luck traditions, featuring notes of bitter Orange, Marzipan, and Pink Pepper.

La Dea Bendata by Nobile 1942 was inspired by Neapolitan luck traditions. Everything can be translated into numbers, and in Naples they know how it works, but obviously they have to be the right ones, the ones with whom you hope to receive the kiss of La Dea Bendata (Lady Luck), also because it is said that she cannot see very well. In the 19th century, Naples became the capital of what we now know as the Lotto Game and to play the right numbers there was one choice and only one: turn to the Smorfia, the book of dreams. This book is made up of 90 numbers and is based on the belief that there is a correspondence between dreams and numbers: everything has a symbolic meaning and reality itself is a set of hidden meanings to be interpreted. Obviously, everything is closely connected to the divine and supernatural dimension, because usually saints, Mother Mary or deceased loved ones are the ones who dictate the numbers in dreams, giving a gift to those who remain on earth. According to Neapolitan tradition, for every dream there is a number and every number has its own meaning. The fragrance opens with bitter Orange, Marzipan, Pink Pepper CO2, Black Pepper, and Timur Pepper CO2, leading to a heart of Orange Blossom, Turkish Rose, Lily of the Valley, Pomegranate, and Pizzutella grape, and settling into a base of Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Ambergris accord, and Musks.
