Romano Ricci is an Italian perfumer and founder of Juliette Has a Gun, launched in 2006. The great-grandson of Nina Ricci, the renowned fashion designer and fragrance founder, Romano inherited a legacy of creative excellence spanning fashion and fragrance. He established Juliette Has a Gun as a challenge to the highly codified niche perfumery industry, creating fragrances that blend literary inspiration (particularly a twisted heroine of Shakespeare transported to the 21st century) with innovative olfactory design. Working in collaboration with Givaudan's accomplished perfumers, Ricci represents a new generation of Italian perfumers dedicated to artistic expression and contemporary fragrance innovation. Based between Paris and Grasse, he continues to push creative boundaries.
