Ralf Schwieger is a master German perfumer from rural Westphalia whose fascination with perfumery began as a chemistry student, drawn to the intersection of science and art. After studying fragrance chemistry in Berlin, he immersed himself in training at the prestigious Roure Bertrand Dupont in Grasse. His career spans legendary houses including Givaudan and MANE, with iconic creations for brands like Hermès, YSL, and Atelier Cologne. Notable fragrances include Eau des Merveilles, Mugler Womanity, Orange Sanguine, and Baby Doll. Schwieger describes his creative process as a two-part game combining intellectual conceptualization with extended sensory research, producing fragrances that are simultaneously cerebral and intuitive.
