Pissara "Ploi" Umavijani is a Thai perfumer and founder of Parfums Dusita, established in Paris in 2016 as France's newest Maison de Haute Parfumerie. Born and raised in Thailand, she grew up surrounded by books, poetry, and artistic inspiration—particularly the works of her renowned poet father, Montri Umavijani (1941-2006). After arriving in Paris, she taught herself fragrance science while collaborating with a leading Grasse production house. Her fragrances are olfactory tributes to her father's poetry, blending classical French perfumery techniques with traditional Siamese elegance, featuring Thai materials like rose, jasmine, benzoin, and sandalwood.
