Paolo Cerizza
Italy
Paolo Cerizza is an Italian master perfumer born in 1960 in San Remo, heir to a distinguished perfume dynasty. His father Aurelio Cerizza founded E.M.A. (Essences of Aromatic Materials) in 1946, establishing foundational raw material expertise. Paolo began his professional career as a perfumer in 1983, trained by René Ricord (a student of legendary Roure founder Jean Carles). Working alongside his brothers Maurizio, Guido, and Gianluigi, Cerizza transforms sensations into harmonious fragrances through a synaesthetic approach. He serves as the nose behind Acqua di Portofino and collaborates with Atelier Fragranze Milano.
