Olivia Giacobetti
France
Olivia Giacobetti is a pioneering French perfumer born in 1966 who fundamentally reshaped contemporary perfumery. Inspired at age nine by a film featuring a perfumer character, she began her career at Annick Goutal at 16. At age 24, she founded Iskia, establishing herself as an innovative bespoke creator. Her independent line Iunx (launched 2003 with Shiseido) showcases her signature transparent, photorealistic approach. Giacobetti pioneered the use of fig in perfumery with groundbreaking fragrances like Premier Figuier and Philosykos, influencing the entire industry. Her mixed-media compositions blend natural and synthetic elements seamlessly.
